Webinar Series nachhaltige technologien |
We are delighted to invite you to the next webinar "Solar-to-X: From sunlight to molecules" on Thursday, 24 September 2026, from 11.00 am - 12.00 pm (CEST).
Discover how solar energy could deliver far more than electricity and heat in the future.
How can solar energy be used not only to generate electricity and heat, but also to produce valuable molecules and chemicals? This is the key question addressed in our webinar “Solar-to-X: From sunlight to molecules”.
The webinar will showcase how solar energy can be used far beyond conventional electricity and heat generation. You will learn how different parts of the solar spectrum can be combined in one system to simultaneously produce heat, electricity and hydrogen while treating industrial wastewater, what is required to scale photochemical reactors from laboratory conditions to operation under real sunlight, and how concentrated solar radiation can be used for direct photocatalytic water splitting. The presentations will also address key challenges such as reactor and optical design, efficiency assessment, catalyst development and the transition from research to pilot-scale and industrial applications.
Together with international experts, we will look at how far Solar-to-X technologies have already progressed, where the main bottlenecks still lie, and what is needed to move from promising concepts to scalable demonstrations.
Join the webinar to gain insights into current developments, hear directly from researchers and technology developers, and exchange views on the future potential of Solar-to-X.
